Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ Winners Week has arrived in South East Asia and Pacific Rim sub-region!
Continuing from where we left off in the last issue, Winners Week has now made its rounds in the South East Asia and Pacific Rim hotels by Wyndham. This week-long programme of events and activities are organised at each hotel especially for the active participation of team members, and is truly a time to recognise their hard work, dedication and commitment to all that they do each day. There is no better time to uplift hotel team members as they work hard to provide a Count On Me service to all guests. Read on to see how these hotels recently celebrated Winners Week with passion, engagement and team spirit!
Wyndham Hotel Surfers Paradise
The management and team members of Wyndham Hotel Surfers Paradise kicked off Winners Week on Monday with two ‘Welcome to Winners Week’ sessions of coffee and sandwiches, hosted by none other than the General Manager of the hotel, Ms Maria Salazar. Day 2 saw team members being invited to a morning beach walk by Ms Salazar to start the day with great energy and vitality. Participants were also to bring a dish to pot luck lunch, and share their culture and food with fellow team members, promoting understanding and appreciation for one another. On Day 3, team members were treated to 10-minute massages in the office, a BBQ lunch, and after those treats, went out for a lovely Twilight Ride-on hotel e-bikes and e-scooters. Nothing like a great outdoor activity that doesn’t impact the environment. Day 4 activities included a helpful Mental Health seminar conducted by a professional coach, much appreciated during this time of the pandemic. Fun and games followed that evening in Trivia Night, hosted at the BBQ area. Day 5 of the packed week began with much-appreciated Pancakes for Breakfast, followed by a Winners Week certificate presentation around the hotel, and a Friday afternoon Snack Cart with snacks and drinks for all, including the distribution of appreciation cards. Knock Off Beers was then hosted by General Manager Ms Maria Salazar that evening, followed by a fun karaoke session. This hotel’s Winners Week concluded with Energy Smoothies and Healthy Treats on Saturday, and on Sunday, Pizza for lunch for team members. What a great week of buzz and activities to celebrate!
Wyndham Garden Hanoi
The Wyndham Garden Hanoi team focused their Winners Week activities around Cuisines of the World, and on each day of the week, dished out a different cuisine for team member meals for their appreciation and enjoyment. The week started with chefs firing up some Korean cuisine favourites, a very popular cuisine now around the globe. Great for those with robust palates who enjoy a spicy dish or two, including kimchi! On Day 2, the chefs took to cooking up Italian favourites for team member meals. Pasta and pizza would have been the order of the day! Days 3, 4, 5 and 6 of Winners Week dished up Chinese food and favourites, with French, Japanese and Indian to complete the week’s tour of delicious cuisines of the world. Diverse and delicious. The team also organised a Winners Week Photo Contest involving all the departments in the hotel. Photos with the most Likes won 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, and the winners are…1st Prize goes to the Kitchen team! 2nd Prize to Housekeeping, and 3rd Prize to Security. Congratulations to the winners and all who participated, well done Wyndham Garden Hanoi.
Wyndham Opi Hotel Palembang
Wyndham Opi Hotel Palembang also held an active and well-participated Winners Week in November for their team members. The day continued into Yoga class which saw some very well executed yoga poses by some team members! Midweek on Wednesday, two competitions were held. The first was Wyndham Idols, a talent quest, with a special prize from the Executive Assistant Manager of the hotel. The second was a Master Chef competition where 12 contestants from all departments pitted their culinary skills against each other, except the Kitchen team. The week’s events rounded up with team members inviting their families to visit the hotel, enjoy snacks that were provided, and also meet the Management team. Great engagement for Winners Week!
Wyndham Grand Nai Harn Beach Phuket
Team Wyndham Grand Nai Harn Beach focused on several key activities for their celebration of Winners Week. The engineering department came up with a Little Garden venture of re-potting plants to kick off the week and Human Resources and Admin served up Rot Coffee or coffee from the cart to greet team members. At lunchtime midweek, the Finance department organised Thai traditional games for all, whilst Sales put up a temple fair for team members. Ending off their Winners Week activities was a gathering for all, named Pizza Cha Cha Cha in a Hawaiian theme. Great fun and camaraderie for all!
